Moonshadow

A Moon Blade

Moonshadow is a legendary Named Blade, one of the fabled swords created in Heart's Hall, the fortress city located in the Wall of the World mountainous region. This extraordinary sword is the nocturnal counterpart to Moonslight, possessing an alluring and enigmatic appearance. The blade is adorned with intricate serpentine patterns that symbolize its connection to the shadows and the realm of darkness.

Stealth and Lethality:

Moonshadow's defining attribute lies in its ability to harness the power of darkness and shadows. Unlike Moonslight, which shimmers like moonlight, Moonshadow embraces the night, allowing its wielder to move silently and unnoticed through the dimmest corners of the world. It excels in the art of stealth and surprise attacks, making it the weapon of choice for those who seek to strike from unseen places and eliminate their foes without being detected. Its swift and lethal strikes leave victims paralyzed and vulnerable, caught off guard by its master's agility and deadly precision. Moonshadow is a cowardly blade meant for a coward.

Moonshadow and Moonslight:

Moonshadow shares a unique bond with Moonslight, its peer and counterpart. Both blades are interconnected and paired, representing the duality of light and darkness. However, they are also at odds with each other, as their abilities contradict one another. Moonslight thrives on the radiant energy of moonlight and enhances the senses and agility of its wielder during the night. In contrast, Moonshadow embraces the shadows, granting its wielder stealth and the element of surprise. Attempting to wield both blades simultaneously cancels out their abilities, making it impossible to combine their powers effectively.

Legacy of Tengri Khasar:

Moonshadow's history is intertwined with the legendary warrior Tengri Khasar of the Houtou Clan. Tengri was a formidable and renowned fighter, known for his mastery of Moonshadow. He skillfully harnessed the sword's shadowy powers, striking fear into the hearts of his enemies. After a lifetime of valiant battles and heroic deeds, Tengri was laid to rest in a barrow, a place of reverence and memory for his legendary legacy.

Neither blade ever achieved any sort of true sentience. Now, it is unlikely they ever will.
