A Storm Sword
Maelstrom is the perfect counterpart to Malice, complementing its sibling's electrifying abilities with powers of the air. Like Malice, Maelstrom boasts a similar length and appearance, but it possesses its unique characteristics. The blade is forged from the same exotic metal, and shimmers along its surface. The pommel is elegantly adorned with swirling patterns that representing a gale of wind or a wave of water, the essence nature’s storms.
This sword is somewhat intelligent and has a personality and memory like it’s sibling. Maelstrom presents being confined to land and longs for a return to sea.
Pair-bonded with Malice.
Abilities:
Maelstrom has the extraordinary ability to summon intense and powerful winds. When the wielder invokes this power, a whirlwind of magical energies surround the blade, creating a potent vortex. The winds generated are capable of buffeting enemies, with tremendous force throwing them off balance, and even killing those unable to find proper shelter.
Similar to Malice, Maelstrom's strength comes with the downside of uncontrollability. Once unleashed, the wind become a force of nature beyond the wielder's command. Indifferent raging gales may alter directions unexpectedly, making it vital for the sword bearer to consider surroundings and potential allies' locations before using this ability.
Wielder: Tomas Bence. Tomas was able to take the swords from two brigands by the names of Bander and Pretty. These two had looted the swords from the barrow of Hanna Jardin and the swords rejected them, preferring to find someone who would use them in the service of the Vintelli.
Malice and Maelstrom, two Named Blades, become an uncompromising force when wielded together. With the ability to summon lightning and winds, they can create a devastating combination of elemental power. However, managing these uncontrollable forces, requiring a skilled and strategic use of power. Only the most daring and deserving wield these powerful blades to harness their might.
