Mintok Thantok are sister cities. Technically they were founded as independent sister cities, but they expanded until both grew into the other. Where one begins and the other ends is a subject of debate, but the city center belongs to both and the open air markets see citizens of both cities plying their wares. Mintok Thantok is a coastal city. A large part of the city budget has gone to defense and these twin cities are well fortified with several naval defender fleets. The people of Mintok Thanktok are military minded.
Each of these cities has its own ruling structure though some of the same individuals serve on both councils. The government of Mintok Thantok primarily consists of an elected delegate and his appointed advisors.
Two giant statues stand, one to each side of the river gate, crossed swords meeting above the gates. The bay consists of natural cliff-face and constructed seawall.
