Keth

A small town about two weeks by horse inland from the twin cities of Mintok Thanktok. Nighbors Winlock and Braglock to the north and south respectively. Keth has a population large enough to support a thriving community of shops and an open air market. Keth is a fairly low crime town with minimal constabulary and a traveling magistrate. Keth manages to support multiple bars and taverns. Religion plays a minor role in the daily lives of Keth citizens and there are fewer religious structures than places where one might get drunk. The main temple in town is to the god G'orn, but his adherents are few and the temple in ill repair. Only on holy days does G'orn receive any sort of reasonable attendance.

Keth owed its existence to two features. One, it was located at the juncture of two major trade routes—a river route, and a land route—and two, it was in the middle of nowhere. Travelers and much of the major trade held over at Keth on their way to much larger cities. Despite this, Keth was managing to grow at a comfortable rate and supported many thriving businesses. Surrounded by woods to the North, and farmland on the other three sides, Keth had the fortune of benefitting from transient visitors without having a large permanent population. Keth was a small town with aspirations.
