Sorale

God of the Sun, Vitality, Warmth and Light

About: Some believe that Sorale is the sun, while others claim he only makes his home there. Regardless, he is a God and the sun is his domain. He is tasked with bringing warmth and life to the realm, giving stunning sunrises and sunsets. Sorale can be a symbol of hope and renewal, but he is not always nurturing. His harsh light can also be seen as malevolent cruelty or his absence as cold indifference. He is thought to be one of the Gods to walk Hoem on the Day of Wanderers, pretending to be a mortal in need. Sorale can be a a loving of vengeful God.

Sorale is not formerly part of any particular pantheon yet most major religions give him some level of reverence. As a God he was once known by many names, but now most cultures have settled on Sorale.

Description: Sorale is depicted as an old man who has yet to give up his vitality. He is too powerful and bright to be looked at for longer than quick glimpses. Often Sorale appears to his followers as intense light or a ball of consuming fire, but his favored form is that of a man. He will disguise himself as a mortal to walk among them and it is suspected that he has fathered many children. When he so desires Sorale will appear as a quite comely young man.
