About: Grace Hest is hearth-witch and midwife, a healer of minor injuries. She draws on her own life-force to cast simple spells meant to close cuts, erase bruising, comfort the abused, and set broken bones. She is also called upon to treat a variety of illnesses, as well as to see women through successful pregnancies. Grace is also eases the passing of life into death when need be.
As Grace draws on her own energies to cast spells she is often quite exhausted after a difficult session. Her use of magic has also prematurely aged her. Grace refuses to call on outside sources of power though, believing this incurs a debt. She will not even rely on the powers of the moons. Grace despises blood magics and believes they should be outlawed.
She is wife to Bennick and adoptive mother to her sister’s child, Samar. She has no other children.
